One small family farm in the mountains of Shizuoka, and around thirty teas across its fields. You tell us what you like, and we pick three of them for you at the farm.
What's in the box
Two of the three are fixed. The sencha is the one you choose.
Sencha — 100 g. Your choice, below.
Hojicha — 100 g. Roasted, and made from first-flush leaf.
Japanese black tea — 30 g. Almost nobody outside Japan has had one.
That is about fifty-five pots of tea. Japanese leaf gives two or three cups from each, so it lasts a good deal longer than it looks.
Tell us what you like
There is a box for it further down this page. Tell us what you eat, what you usually drink alongside your tea, and which way you lean. We read it before anything is packed — it is how the tea gets chosen.
How long it takes
14 to 21 days. Nothing is chosen until you order and nothing is sitting in a warehouse, so most of that time is the tea being picked out at the farm and sent to us before it ships from Japan.
Duties and taxes
Included. We pay them before the parcel leaves Japan, so nothing is owed on arrival and customs will not hold it for payment. We ship to the United States only.
If something goes wrong
If a bag arrives damaged, or the parcel does not arrive at all, we replace it or refund you. Send us a photo and we will sort it out — you do not need to ship anything back.
