Refund policy

Everything here is made to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse — we choose your
tea at the farm after we read what you told us, and it ships from Japan.

IF SOMETHING ARRIVES DAMAGED, OR DOES NOT ARRIVE

Send a photo to info@ark-links.com and we will replace the order or refund it in
full. You do not need to ship anything back to Japan — return postage would cost
more than the tea. This applies to bags that arrive split or crushed, parcels that
go missing, and orders that arrive with the wrong tea inside.

IF THE SENCHA WE CHOSE IS NOT RIGHT FOR YOU

Choosing is our job, not yours. If the sencha we picked is not what you were
after, write and tell us what was wrong with it — too grassy, too heavy, not
enough body — and we will send a replacement bag at no charge. Keep the first
one. We do this once per customer, on a first order, and what you tell us is what
we use to choose better the next time.

RETURNS

We cannot accept returns of tea. It is a food, it ships internationally, and once
a bag has left our hands we have no way to confirm how it was stored. This is why
the two paragraphs above exist instead.

CANCELLING AN ORDER

You can cancel within 24 hours of ordering, for a full refund.

After 24 hours we have placed the order with the farm, and your tea has been
chosen, weighed and packed by hand for you. It is not something that can go back
on a shelf, because it was never on one. That is the trade for tea picked out for
you rather than pulled from a warehouse, and it is why we can only hold the door
open for a day.

Changing your address is different — write any time before it ships and we will
fix it, no charge.

DUTIES AND TAXES

Import duties and taxes are paid by us before the parcel leaves Japan, and they
are included in the price you see. If we refund an order, we refund what you paid.
Duties already paid to US customs are not recoverable by us, but that is our cost
to carry, not yours.
